Voff Haus Face of the Year — Official Rules

1. The contest

Voff Haus Face of the Year (the “Contest”) is a photo-voting contest in which the public votes for their favorite dog. The dog with the most qualifying votes when voting closes is crowned the winner.

2. Eligibility

Entrants must be legal residents of the United States, 18 years or older, and the lawful owner of the dog entered. Employees of Voff Haus and their immediate families are not eligible to win. Employees, officers, directors and board members of Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando — the charity partner this Contest raises funds for — and their immediate families are likewise not eligible to enter or win.

One dog per entry. This is a one-dog contest — each submission is for a single dog, and multiple dogs may not be combined into one entry. If more than one dog is submitted under the same person, we’ll reach out to confirm which dog to keep in the running.

3. How voting works

• Free votes. After verifying their identity with Facebook, each voter may cast one (1) free vote per day — a new free vote unlocks at midnight Eastern Time. Identity verification keeps voting fair and helps prevent fraud.
• Voted votes (donations). Voters 18+ may donate to receive additional votes. Donations are processed securely by Stripe. Vote purchases are donations, are non-refundable, and a portion supports Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.
• No self-funding. The registered entrant may not purchase vote bundles for their own dog’s entry using their own funds, nor reimburse or arrange for anyone else to purchase votes on their behalf. Family members, friends, and supporters may purchase vote bundles using their own funds, provided they are not being reimbursed or directed by the registered entrant. Violations may result in disqualification at Voff Haus’s sole discretion.
• Promotional voting periods. Voff Haus may, at its discretion, announce site-wide promotional voting periods (such as Double Vote Days) during which votes may receive additional weight. Any such promotion will apply equally to all contestants and will be announced in advance on the Contest website and/or through official communication channels.

4. Contest format

The Contest runs in two phases:

• Leaderboard phase. All approved contestants compete. Votes accumulate on a public leaderboard.
• Final round. The top 10 contestants advance to a short final round. Vote totals reset for the Final Round so every finalist begins with an equal opportunity to win — Leaderboard-phase votes decide who advances, but do not carry into the Final Round. The finalist with the most votes when the final round closes wins.

In the event of a tie, the contestant with the higher number of profile views, and then the earlier approval time, advances.

Vote totals are displayed publicly on the live leaderboard throughout both phases, so contestants and voters can follow the competition in real time.

5. The prize

The winner receives $4,000 USD and is featured as the face of Voff Haus for the upcoming seasons — Summer 2026 through Spring 2027 — including a professional photoshoot. The winner must complete the photoshoot within sixty (60) days of being notified. Prize is non-transferable. The winner is responsible for any applicable taxes. Because the prize is reportable income, the winner must complete and return an IRS Form W‑9 before the prize is paid, and Voff Haus will report the prize on IRS Form 1099 as required by law; the prize is issued only after the winner’s identity, U.S. residency, and tax documentation have been verified.

The title runs for that period. Voff Haus may hold subsequent editions of the Contest, each of which crowns its own Face of the Year for the seasons that follow.

The winner will be notified by email and must respond within seven (7) days. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond within that time, an alternate winner may be selected. Travel and any other expenses are not included unless otherwise agreed by Voff Haus in writing.

6. Entries & content

By entering, you grant Voff Haus a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the submitted photos and the dog’s name in connection with the Contest and related promotion. Entries must accurately depict your own dog, must not infringe any third-party rights, and must be appropriate. AI-generated, composited, or materially altered images that misrepresent the dog may be removed. Voff Haus may reject or remove any entry or comment at its discretion.

You may withdraw your entry from the Contest at any time by emailing faceoftheyear@voffhaus.com.

7. Donations & our charity partner

Voff Haus is proud to partner with Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando as the official charity partner of the Contest. Additional (“voted”) votes are voluntary donations — not the purchase of a product, service, or chance to win — and are non-refundable.

All payments are processed securely through the Voff Haus platform. Following the conclusion of the Contest, Voff Haus donates an agreed-upon percentage of the proceeds from voted votes to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. That percentage is calculated on net proceeds — after payment-processing fees, prize funding, fulfillment, and operating and administrative costs — and Voff Haus does not represent that any specific amount or percentage of any individual donation will be paid to the charity partner.

Because donations are made to Voff Haus — which processes the payments and then makes the charitable contribution — and not directly to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, they are not tax-deductible. Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is the Contest’s charity partner and beneficiary; it does not administer, organize, or run the Contest.

8. Conduct & disqualification

Any attempt to manipulate votes, use automated scripts, create fraudulent accounts, or otherwise undermine the fairness of the Contest will result in disqualification. Voff Haus reserves the right to verify the validity of votes and to disqualify any entrant who violates these rules.

9. Final results & verification

All votes and results are subject to verification before a winner is certified. Voff Haus may review voting and payment activity and remove votes associated with fraudulent, refunded, reversed, disputed, or otherwise invalid transactions. Once the results have been verified and the winner officially certified, subsequent payment disputes will not alter the final results unless Voff Haus determines that fraud, manipulation, or a violation of these Official Rules affected the outcome.

10. General

Voff Haus reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest if fraud or technical failures compromise its integrity. This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook/Meta or Stripe.
